A family business
that stayed
a family business.
Al Rehman Hostels began in 2013 with a single building on Park Road and a simple idea: run a hostel the way we'd want our own children to live in one.
In the years since, we've grown into six branches across Park Road, Islamabad — five boys hostels and one dedicated girls hostel — serving students from Quaid-e-Azam University, NUML, Bahria University, COMSATS, Fatima Jinnah Women's University, and a growing number of young professionals working in the capital.
What hasn't changed in thirteen years is how we operate. The management is still on-site most days. Maintenance complaints still get a same-day response. The kitchen is still run by staff we've known for years, not a rotating contractor. And the number on our business card is still the same one that rings in our own pocket.
We think that's rare, and we intend to keep it that way.
Four principles we don't compromise on.
Safety first
Guards, CCTV, signed visitor logs, and female wardens for the girls hostel. No shortcuts.
Honest pricing
The rent you're quoted is what you pay. No mid-year hikes without notice, no hidden utility bills.
Real food
Home-style meals cooked fresh, three times a day. We eat the same food our residents do.
Accessible management
One number. Answered. If you can reach us to enquire, you can reach us after you move in.
From one hostel to six.
Al Rehman Boys Hostel opens
Our flagship branch launches on Park Road with capacity for 30 residents.
Al Rehman 1 follows
Demand doubles. We open a second building a short walk away with upgraded rooms and a dedicated study lounge.
Khushal Flats joins the group
We acquire and renovate Khushal Flats — introducing apartment-style units for seniors and working professionals.
Khushal 1 & Pak Lane
Two more boys hostels join the group, each with its own character — one budget-friendly, one tucked away on a quiet lane.
Al Rehman Girls Hostel
After years of requests from families, we open our dedicated ladies-only branch with a female warden and separate entrance.
Six hostels, one family
Still family-owned. Still family-run. Still answering the same phone number.
